Torres Welding Corp was proudly established in 2022, but our roots run much deeper—forged in resilience, sacrifice, and an unbreakable family bond.

Our story begins in Cuba, where Yoandy Torres Álvarez’s father, a hardworking taxi driver, faced the harsh realities of life on the island. Economic hardship forced him to seek a new path, and he turned to his brother to learn the ancient art of blacksmithing and welding—a skill born out of necessity that would become the family’s lifeline.

With calloused hands and unwavering determination, Yoandy’s father mastered the craft, passing it down to his son with the hope that it would open doors in a world that often felt closed. Yoandy grew up surrounded by sparks, steel, and stories of perseverance, learning not just how to shape metal, but how to shape a future.

As conditions in Cuba grew increasingly unbearable, Yoandy was forced to leave behind his homeland, his family, and everything familiar. Carrying only the skills his father had entrusted to him, he journeyed first to Mexico and eventually to the United States—chasing the dream of a better life and the chance to honor the legacy that had sustained his family through generations of struggle.

In South Florida, Yoandy founded Torres Welding Corp, transforming personal hardship into professional excellence. With over 17 years of experience honed across four countries, every weld we make today carries the weight of that journey: the pride of a father’s teachings, the courage of leaving everything behind, and the quiet triumph of building something enduring in a new land.
